Statement
Through my art, I seek to engage and trigger a sense of humanity through thought-provoking, captivating sensory experiences. I have always been fascinated by the intense, visceral experiences which can be created through the manipulation of physical, and biological processes. These, alongside the conscious reaction, exemplify the power of immersive, experience-based mediums which can capture the essence of an experience and attempt to control it. I want to access these powerful physiological-emotional connections: laughter, tears, screams, and smiles. Art, at its best, harnesses this idea through the employment of tools that activate and manipulate our sensory (and uniquely human) experience. I think it is imperative to create connection through collective experiences in a world so many perceive as fragmented. A reminder of a uniting truth and experience: being human.
